Hi guys, One of my friends needs help, he wanted to know if there would be any problem if one plans a baby birth in USA after completing PR in Canada, will it cause any problem in the PR for the parents and/or will it cause any problems in sponsoring the baby for PR in Canada. Will the baby need PR as he'll be a US Citizen.

I have no knowledge abt this so I am asking you guys for suggestions,
Any advice or information is appreciated!!!!

Thank you.

Child birth in other country during PR status is possible. It will not however disqualify the residency status of parents. If the child is born in USA, still the parents need to sponsor the child for Canadian PR. In the mean time the child will be allowed to enter Canada on visitor status with a US passport but limited to 6 months maximum for one entry.

Thank You very much Wilson,
Very useful Info.
