Physical presence of sponsor

I have a question regarding spousal sponsorship. I am Canadian Permanent resident. Recently, I got married in my home country and I will be staying here in my home country for 3 more months and then I will fly back to Canada. In the mean time, can I apply for my wife under spousal sponsorship program or do I need to be physically present in Canada when we start this application?

You need to be physically present in Canada when you apply. You must wait until you have returned to Canada.

No but you have to show that you can support your spouse without government help.
