Physical presence for minor with a Canadian parent

Hi,
I'll be applying my citizenship application before August post which I'll be losing days. Applied PR for my son but yet to receive copr for landing. If I don't receive it by August, can I just apply my application first and then apply his application once I become a citizen? Does he need to fulfill physical presence to apply citizenship separately? We will be residing outside canada during this process.

The child only needs to fulfill the physical presence requirement if he applies separately or has no citizen parent. So, yup, if the kid lives outside Canada, you'll need to wait for your own citizenship before you apply for his, unless he's a PR by the time you send your application, in which case you can group them.

Thanks for the reply! Just wanted to confirm if kids citizenship can be applied without physical presence once I become a citizen.
