Photo Specifications - date at the back

What is expected at the back of the photo?
Can we write the date, name and date of birth or it needs to be printed? Either one of these?
Please suggest.

No we can not write the date on it.
the photographer supposed to put the company seal and specify the date in it.

You can surely write the name and DOB. that is fine.

The photo studio/company does not have the date stamp with them but have the company stamp. So not sure if they can write the date along with the company seal. I am unable to find one with that here. Any other suggestions

try to search a photographer who has stamp with date taken , I am sure you will find someone in chennai. CIC is very strict on photo specifications, and it shouldn't me more than 6 months old. If you are allowed to put date back on it then you can understand it can be any time taken.

I had my pictures taken at London Drugs in Canada. And the photolab I went to, haven't had a company stamp.
So they only stamped the date the picture was taken on it.
And I printed my name and DOB on them.
That should, according to the document checklist, be sufficient. It doesn't say there has to be a company seal or stuff on the
pictures, does it?

From Checklist:

Photo Requirements

Supply six (6) photoss for each member....... and in Appendix A: Photo Secifications. Photos myust have been
taken within six (6) months before......

On the back of five (5) of the photographs, write the name and date of birt of the person who appears in the photo
as well as the date the photo was taken.....

From Appendix A:

The photos must:

-measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1″ and 1 1/5″) from chin to crown
-have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″) finished size
-bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back (stick-on labels are not acceptable).

There's no seal or stamp mentioned...? Am I right?

I agree with iam_toby. I know people who've taken their photo in CostCo who only put a date stamp & it has been accepted. Just date stamp is enough on the back of the photos + you write your name & date of birth.

I'm sure they will take photos to the specifications you need & I'm guessing they will also be able to put the date stamp.
(I remember that back in the 80s & 90s, all studio portraits used to carry the date stamp)

I have 6 photos from Shoppers, and they all have the stamp on them saying where it was taken and the date. Do I need to get another one taken as none of them are blank? Or should I just sign 5 of them and everything will be ok

Finally sent my application with the date and other details at the back. Phew...

I have sent my pic with my name and DOB written by me in English and the photo studio company's seal stamped in our own native language leaving the date place blank which was later filled up by me in English (Date only)...even though the company name and add was written in my native language I did not receive any complaints from CIC and received my whole family's passport yesterday with stamp and CoPR...so chill my friend...you are worrying to much...Good Luck!!!!!
