Dear Members,

Please advise whether we can use smiling ( means.... showing the tooth)) photographs of applicants as per the specification indicated by VO.

Thanks in advance

Good Question :)

As far as I know there is no stated rule saying that you can not submit a smiling photograph, but it is advised that you dont do so for passport and visa photos..

Sapana..

Usually a neutral look has been suggested in photograph which can portray major part of front facing with a recommended head chin appearance ratio (better with off glass/spectacle) so far I know. For details you can also refer to the OP6 manual in which a Instruction to photographer page has been added.

To the specification.

Hi R.R,

Check this link,it says

The face must be square to the camera with a neutral expression, neither frowning nor smiling, with the mouth closed.
•If the photographs do not meet the specifications, you will have to provide new photographs before your application can be processed

hope this helps :)
