Hi,

Just about to send off the Citizenship Certificate Application for my daughter and I'm confused by the photo requirements.

"The frame size must be at least 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″)"

"at least". So, if I send the 50 x 70 mm passport size photos, they should be ok? I mean, I could send a poster of her to CIC and it would still be acceptable? lol

Frame size needs to be large enough to accommodate the size of the photo itself. As I recall, the specification for the photo is NOT the same as the specification for passport photos.

In particular, the size of the head, from chin to crown, currently (these things are always subject to change) must be between 31 mm (1 1/4″) and 36 mm (1 7/16″). This is what really matters. Too large is as much a problem as too small, as in either will be rejected and new photos required.
