Hi,

Has anyone heard about applying for a PGWPP from the border.
I have read cases where people applied from border and processing time was couple of hours.

Now the question is whether they were TRV exempt and no few of them were not !

Is this valid?

For appling work permit at can/US border, you have to do flagpole.
Flagpole means seeking entry into Canada.
YOU MUST HAVE VALID CANADA STUDY PERMIT (visa too ) and MUST HAVE VALID US VISA.
you need to go with original sealed transcript, certificate and Study permit and passport.
Cheers.

No - you don't need a valid US visa. Sounds like you don't understand the flagpoling process.

1. May be you should also carry a national flag of your country. Might help.
2. You didn't mention about a PGWP letter from school. The most important thing.

My friends and me went without PGWP letter from school.
We got PGWP.
First thing officer said, i just need transcript and certificate.
