Hello
I have applied for my PGWP on May 12, 2024 but still the application is in processing. I raised web form and got a reply on October 30,2024 that the application has been sent to a responsible officer but still there is no update.
What should I do now?
Can anybody please advise me

As of today, it takes about 169 days to get processed for any WP initial/extension within Canada! Don't stress over it too much! I suggest call IRCC as well to find out the current stage of your application!

Hi! Sorry to hear about the long wait time but if you check in this tracker (filter by PGWP), it looks like quite a few cases took 160 days or more: https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-work-permits-tracker

If it passes the IRCC processing time standard you can try calling them to inquire and you can also try ordering GCMS notes to see what the holdup is. Good luck!

Volume of applications a in general. The fact that those applying for PGWP can work while waiting for their response likely means IRCC views processing time speed as less urgent than some other applications. In general most applications are being processed very slowly by IRCC. Some steps are at least being taken to try and prevent people from being able to apply for things they do not qualify for.
