Hello everyone,
I got my Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university in Canada, and right after my graduation, I was recruited to a large corporation in the financial sector in Montreal. It has been almost a year working under the NOC Code Level A with my PGWP. But I really want to apply and get my Permanent Residency.
There are couple of questions that I have regarding the conversion from PGWP to PR.
First, even though my work experience is in Quebec, I am not planning on staying here since I do not speak French which makes me ineligible for the Skilled Working Program in Quebec. Therefore, my plan is to move to Ontario after I reach one-year work experience benchmark in Montreal. Would this work experience in Quebec count towards my PR application even though I will be living in Ontario?
Second, what kind of documents are necessary relating to the work experience for the PR application? I can provide my employment letter etc and do I explain what exactly I do for my job? This is just out of curiosity since I did not come across anywhere with the actual application documents.
Lastly, do I have to keep my job or have a job offer AFTER completing the one-year requirement work experience?
As of my research, I will be able to apply through Federal Skilled Worker Program but if there are any other programs that would get me the PR earlier/easier, I would be more than glad to hear about it!
Thanks a lot in advance.
