PGWP Rejected. Need HELP ! status valid until july 2017

Hi,

I applied for PGWP, due to some circumstances i could not study one semester. Took one subject each in last two semesters. I completed M.Eng from a university as a full time student. I got my application refused once at border and the second time at CIC. I have status valid until July 31 2017

What can i do now? re apply for PGWP or what is the other way for me to obtain work permit other than LMIA. I dont know what do do. I have applied for CSQ for which i might get a reply in January.

Unfortunately it appears your PGWP was correctly refused. You must be a full time student to qualify for a PGWP. If you are part time one semester - that is generally OK. If you are part time two semesters, then unfortunately you don't meet the PGWP requirements and can expect a refusal.

Based on the information you've provided, there are no open work permit options available to you at this time. If you want to work, you'll need a full time job offer and an approved LMIA.

I assume so. I don't know of any Masters programs where one subject is a full time course load.

Yes it is. Part time 1 course, Full time 2-3 courses.

What is the "valid status" that you mentioned? I believe your Study Permit should have already expired at this point, no? Are you allowed to study and/or to work in Canada with this status?

I might be in the same situation with you since I was refused by CBSA due to the part time terms too. Why did the cbsa charge you 155 on border while they did not charge me? Did the cbsa give the refusal letter to you on border? When you applied online, did you upload a explanation letter to explain why you were refused by cbsa?

To complete my GPA i took two course but all of sudden my mother had a problem and have to admitted her to hospital back in india and i have to go back to india, because of all this I cannot able to study and got c in both the subject which was not enough to complete my graduation again i have to take one extra course to complete my graduation.I applied for PGWP and got refusal for not maintaining full time study and after that my friend advice me to add a explanation letter from the college i did that through IRCC web forum but again got refusal by saying not satisfied with the documents.I haven't attached any documents that shows i cannot able achieve Those grades because of my mother situation in the application .now what should i do ? Should i reapply by giving all documents of my mother problem ? Any advice will be great

Tough as its a justified refusal in line with the rules ao difficult to advise anything.

You can certainly try reapplying and include the documents regarding your mother's condition. At this point there's no harm doing that.

IRCC generally doesn't give any flexibility to the full time study rules. You can only be part time in one semester which is the last semester of your studies. You should start planning what you will do if your reapplication is also refused (that's unfortunately probably the most likely outcome).

You can try but requirements are very clear. Are you in Canada or India?
