Hi, can anyone please help my concern!

I'm applying for family sponsorship-common-law in Canada.
I still have my PGWP(post graduate work permit) until December and I am definitely going to apply PR before that.
My question is do I just need to apply Open work permit? or in my case, should I extend work permit??

please help.

thank you!!

You can't extend your PGWP. You need to apply for a (new) open work permit

thank you. That solves my concern. So no matter how long my PGWP has left, just applying for a Open Work Permit!

You can't just apply for an OWP. In order to qualify for a BOWP, you will need to get an ITA, submit a PR app and get AOR.
