PGWP Length (periods of 12 months vs 8 months? )

Hey guys, it's a dumb question but I get offers from 2 colleges and I'm confused about the program length.

Both of them are 2- year (4-semester) long, but one is 2 Year(s) (Periods Of 12 Months), one is 2 Academic Year(s) (Periods Of 8 Months).

Which one can apply for 3-year PGWP or they both can?
