Hi everyone!
I would really appreciate if someone could give me an advice on my situation. My husband ( Canadian citizen) and I (international student) applied for PR and OWP this year and it has been over 4 months and still the processing hasn't started on OWP. At the same time, I graduated and received my degree this June and when contacting CIC , they said the processing times are getting longer and I can withdraw my OWP and apply for PGWP online (within six months of program completion) instead. In that way I can work while waiting for the work permit. I never knew about this! Have anyone heard of this before? not sure if I should just wait or pay again and possibly not get a refund for my OWP
Thank you in advance, any input would be appreciated!
P.S. both my study permit and passport expire in July next year.
