This was a small test. One month of the year, and they are giving out 779 applications. Look at their targets:

http://www.canadaimmigrants.com/immigration/policy/canada-immigration-targets-for-2015/

With the number of new PRs they want, and the fact that the highest scoring people are now out of the pool, they are going to have to decrease the target scores. If they had 779 people a month, they would have fewer than 10,000 applications processed.

Be patient.

yeah, but my WP expires in may, for example. I have 10 days of paid vacation only which I'm not allowed to take april to september due to workload. If I can't work in may, I'll loose my job. Getting work permit extension takes time and only can be done after they accept my application. So, yeah, I feel like I'm going home in May.

They won`t necessarily allow 250,000 (or whatever their target is) immigrants in one year. They were clear that ITAs will be issues based on the circumstances on time period of that draw such as employment rate, economy, labor shortage. That doesn`t mean that they HAVE TO let in 250,000 people in one year. They have valid reasons to tell citizens that why they let less people immigrate than their projected forecast.

No, scores are not going to decrease. Reason for 779 applications is to have faster processing. And there are easily more than 800 people available to them with >600 points. PNPs themselves churn >25K applicants; and when those get running for provinces we have a real problem on our hands. Besides; there is no NOC bans in this system; so it is a LMIA invitations galore.
