Pgwp extension refused

Please help!
I applied recently for pgwp extension but it got refused because of explanation letter. So I lost my status since the pgwp expired. I applied again for restoration and wp extension under the public policy 2023. I can’t work right now and I have to wait for a decision from IRCC.
How long does it take to process? And can I do something about it to speed it up!?

No way to expedite. Processing is about 128 days. Are you eligible for an extension?

Yes elligible, it expired in 2023 and my first time to apply for extension under public policy.
Is it safe to return back home or it’s better to stay while it’s processing? Thanks
