Please advice:
I have a valid PGWP due to expire in 4 months as it was given for only 1 year due to passport (it should have been given for 3 years). My spouse is under Visitor status.
Can I apply for my PGWP extension and my spouse’s OWP at the same time?
- I have 3 payslips
- I have a letter from employer outlining my NOC (type A)
- though my PGWP expires in 4 months, I intend to continue working for at least 6 months with my implicit status and my job offer is for a permanent position, this to comply with the requirement for SOWP as describe below:
if the principal foreign worker holds a work permit that is valid for a period of at least 6 months, or, if working under the authority of section R186 without a work permit, presents evidence that they will be working for a minimum of 6 months
