Hi,

I have been reading threads regarding PGWP extension due to passport expiry. I am hoping someone has recent experience regarding this and could walk me through the process and how/what to answer on the forms. I was issued PGWP only good for 5 months even though I finished a 2-year program. I will get my new passport in January 2021. It's taking time to process but I want to start answering the papers for the extension.

My PGWP will expire in April 2021!! I only have a few months to process it. I need help. I have so many questions regarding this. I would really appreciate if someone who experienced this situation would answer my queries.

Which option should I choose? I want to extend my PGWP due to passport expiry. Yes, I have an employer right now but my first application for PGWP, I put N/A on those boxes. Which is the best option?
  • A work permit with the same employer
  • An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer
  • Restoration of your status as a worker
  • An initial or an extension of a temporary resident permit
