Hi Everyone my PGWP is expiring next month and i need to apply for PR i am short by 3 months for Canadian experience class, i haven't given my language test yet, i also have a job in Ontario what are my options? should i apply for work permit extension and then complete remaining 3 months so that total is 1 year and then submit my express entry ? or are there any other options? i do not want to leave my job

How many points will you have under EE with the year of Canadian work experience? This may still not be enough to be selected.
Talk to your employer about doing an LMIA and switching to a closed work permit. That is the best option by far.
Hello, my post-graduation work permit is expiring on Dec 18, 2025.So far i am unemployed and I got a job offer and they told me that I cannot be employed because my work permit is expiring in four months. Will I be able to an extension on my PGWP if I get employed. What are the options that are available to extend my post-graduation work permit. I am really stressed, and I don't have any other option kindly please help me.
You cannot extend your PGWP based on a job offer. Your employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a closed work permit.
Hello my PGWP is expiring on January 3rd. My husband's employer filed for LMIA for him since November 6th and we are waiting for an outcome, he has applied for an extension of his work permit explaining the situation with LMIA number quoted in the LOE, he's gotten an extension till December 2026, can I apply for SOWP based on that? or do I have to wait for his LMIA to be approved first? Please help if you can! Also asking what to do for the kids, do I file visitor records based on his extension or apply for a vistor record for myself and add them. applying for a visitor record for me means I can't work after January 3rd
