PGWP expiring - need help with a few questions!

Hello all,

I have a question regarding the OWP for spouses. I mailed my complete application back in April 06th but haven’t gotten AOR1 yet. I’m a Quebec applicant in a common law union. My PGWP will expire in November 20, 2021. Regarding that, I have a few questions:

1. Since I should expect a delay in the processing of the application (considering covid and CSQ), it is safe to say that my application will take longer than 12 months. Can I still apply for the OWP (will mail it separately) even if I don’t have the AOR for my application yet?

2. Can I continue working under my current work permit until the new one is approved?

3. is the validity of the OWP usually for 2 years? Can someone please confirm that?

4. The pilot project is supposed to end this July 01 2020, meaning my application for the OWP will need to reach the office before that date to be considered?

If your PGWP is valid until November 2021 you can continue to work on it until it expires so why are you bothering with a SOWP?

Are you sure about that? Do you have a source that can confirm this information? I couldn’t find anything about this online.
