My PGWP is expiring in October 17th. I understand that I don't meet the full requirements to be eligible for BOWP. But, is there a way to continue working in Canada (until I get nomination and apply for PR)? I have an Engineering job which is full-time and "permanent". Everyone keeps telling me that as long as I have a valid job, I can apply for a work permit? Is this true? How do I apply for this? Can anyone educate me please?

No - this isn't true.

You need an approved LMIA to qualify to apply for a work permit extension. An LMIA is something your employer needs to obtain.

Thank you for clarifying this. LMIA is impossible to obtain for my job. So, looks like I am screwed. F****!
