Hello all,

My work permit expires on April 29th next year. Can I travel in February next year? Will I run into any issues with CBSA? I applied for my PR on December 09, 2015.

Please share your thoughts. Thanks

Any suggestions, please?

You can travel no issue. As long as u have valid visa.

You can travel by land until the last date of expiry. If you travel by air you will need Visa as well.

My permit and visa is expiring in February 2016. I'm travelling and will return mid January. As long as we have valid visa we can return to canada

Just curious, why did you decline two times previously?

I worried because I have watched a lot of Border Security: Canada's Front Line and I am just afraid that I might be denied entry into Canada if I travel that close to the expiry of my work permit. They may ask why are you coming back when your work permit is expiring in two months. Or may be I am just over-thinking?

Also, when should I apply for the bridge work permit? Any suggestions? Is there timeline for that? My PR application is being processed, so not sure if applying for bridging work permit would be worthwhile. Please share your thoughts. Thanks.

I came back frm my home country before 6 days of my visa expiry date. So nothing to worry.

You can apply for bowp when you have 90 or less days left on your permit. I see you submitted your app on 9th Dec. I would say wait till 1st week of March if you don't get ppr then apply for bowp just be safe.

Thanks for your input all. I guess I start looking for air tickets. :)
