Since the EE changes heavily affects us PGWP holders and International students. This would be a good place to discuss any developments here.

I am surprised that we need "Credential check" like we will need to check all our education if we took outside Canada...that's so long process...

Yes, I guess you need to evaluate your bachelor degree from home land to claim points for TWO post-secondary education. You may start doing it right away.

Guys, do CANADIAN EDUCATION fetches you any points??
No. However, Canadian JOB experience gives you good points.

Ok here is what i understand:

- I believe most PGWP will apply under CEC, in that case if you have a job offer which is not subjected to LMIA, you will NOT eligible for 600 points...does not matter if it is permanent or contractual

-NO, you do not need LMIA for applying for CEC, you just need 1 year of full time experience under NOC O,A and B

-There is no added advantage for Canadian education, its just that you do not require ECA ...but i am confused that if you have your masters from Canada and Bachelor from a foreign country , than do you have to do ECA for bachelor..logically NO, because there are giving you points for highest level of education...

but again what regina said make sense

"Yes, I guess you need to evaluate your bachelor degree from home land to claim points for TWO post-secondary education. You may start doing it right away"

yes I think so...we need to start working on several things right away...as I will be eligible to apply for CEC, EE in july'15

If you have a permanent job (with LMIA or without it) under CEC it BRINGS you some points.
To claim two post-secondary educations you have to evaluate your bachelor degree from homeland.

Regina..agree with you

what about
NO, you do not need LMIA for applying for CEC, you just need 1 year of full time experience under NOC O,A and B

Do you agree with this?

@ Regina....this point is confusing..I have a permanent A category job and I will have an experience of 1 year by july'15 but some of the people saying that its compulsory to have LMIA from the employer...

@regina...did you read this :

2) If you were educated outside Canada, you may need to have your educational credentials (your foreign degree, diploma or certificate) assessed against Canadian standards.

You may not need an assessment if:

you have at least one year of recent work experience in Canada, or
your work experience is in a skilled trade (skilled manual work).

What does this mean ?? Do CEC applicant require this ?

Note: Even if you don't think you need to have your foreign education assessed to be eligible under Express Entry, you may want to do so to increase your chances of being invited to apply.
You know, info about EE is still confusing. I hope in January it will be clarified somehow. :)

If Canadian universities can admit us for the Masters or Phd programs then why this CIC needs educational credentials checks :)

Anyway I don't think so for CEC, we need educational credential checks and we are getting points on masters degree not bachelors..
