PGWP during COVID-19

Hi everyone, I graduated from a one year program and will get just one-year work permit. I have been applying for PGWP since 20/02/2020. I worked for a month and got laid off for the last 3 weeks. My concern is that I don't know if CIC will extend work permit for people with the same situation like me ?
I couldn't find any jobs right now. I'm just sitting at home and wasted my time on my work permit, and the work permit is running out day by day. Anyone has any suggestion or information please help me. I'm appreciated

Currently there is no indication that any special action will be taken to extend any work permits given that obviously is not the current priority. Even when the situation stabilises the availabilty of employment is unlikely to improve for some time and there will be thousands of Citizens/Residents looking for jobs as well so competition will be fierce.

Hi Bs65, do you think there will be any measurement for people in the same situation like me in the future? if there are no measurement comes out in the future, I will be dead, one year studied for just sitting at home and seeing my work permit runs out

We don't know at this time. It's possible something may be done and also possible it may not be. It's really impossible for any of us to say.
