May I ask if anyone here has real experience with switching to part-time status during their final term of a master’s program, and whether it affected their PGWP application?

The situation is that I’m about to enter my last term and only have one course left. If I switch to part-time, I can save half the tuition, but I’m a bit worried about whether this might impact my eligibility for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). I know the IRCC website says it’s not a problem, but I wanted to hear from people who have actually been through this.

Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Lots of examples online where last semester has been part-time. It is not an uncommon scenario. As long as you are compliant with the terms of your study permit and meet the requirements of PGWP there should be no issues.
