Hi,

I will be graduating this month - 2 years Recreational Therapy course and want to apply for PGWP. I am a Bachelor in Physiotherapy from India. I am currently working as a part time physiotherapy Assistant and want to take full time work post my study/PGWP.
Q1) When I am filling my PGWP application, there is question on medical exam required if you intend to work as health science worker. Does working as Physiotherapy Assistant qualify as Health Science Worker? And do I need to do medical before applying for PGWP?
Q2) Does having a full-time work offer help in PGWP visa?
Q3) Any Physiotherapy student who got PGWP recently can guide me? DM your contact email if suitable.

Thanks,
Ash

1. You need medical.
2. You don’t need job offer for PGWP.
3. Same for any applicant, you need to meet PGWP requirements (eg full time studies) to be eligible.

The medical is required because healthcare workers often work with medically vulnerable populations

Hi Friends,

I was filling my PGWP (Work Permit) Application on IRCC Website and had a question in document checklist section. Can someone please guide me here?

1. Under Application Form(s), it is asking me to upload document name - Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker (IMM 5710) (required)
I am filing the form online, not sure which form to upload here? Do I need to save the online form (once filled) in previous step and upload? Not sure what is the purpose?

2. Also, anyone who is well versed with work permit application particularly Post Study Work Permit and can help review my application .

Thanks,
