PGWP application with assault charges

Hello,
Has anybody ever experienced this before?
I currently have a pending domestic assault charge ( Section 266 of the Criminal Code, with no bodily harm and no weapon involved). I plan to apply for my PGWP shortly thereafter.
Can this pending case cause my permit denial?

Yes and Yes. Your lawyer can tell you more. Plus on all applications you must say Yes to the question "Have you ever been charged".
