PGWP And Spouse Visa Extension

Hi Seniors
I know this topic would have been discussed before but i could not find a direct reply to that.

My situation is :
1. My wife is on student permit but she is graduated now and i am on open work permit. Visa for both of us expires in july.
2. So she will be applying for a PGWP next week. So can she include my name to extend my work permit too ? She does not have a job offer at the moment

Any help would be appreciated

2. No - she can't. She needs to secure a job before you will qualify to extend your open work permit under her PGWP. You should change your status to visitor while she works to find a job.

She has a job offer but she will not start until July and if her employer gives in written job offer, will then she is able to extend my work permit?

Seniors please let me know what are the documents required in order to apply PGWP.

Transcript is really required if i do have the PGWP letter from college.

My guess is a letter is required and accepted only if you cannot get your transcript (like you apply before your finish your program). After that it is not a problem to get a transcript.

Usually before you do the actual application for the PGWP, there is a short assessment that has to be filled out. This will determine what documents will need to be submitted at the time of application. You can fill out this assessment before you are ready to complete the actual application just to get an idea. The assessment has an expiry date so you will not need to complete another if you complete the application before it is expired.

A bank statement is not normally required, however you will need to include your transcripts from school
