PGWP .... 8 months or 1 year ?

Hello,

I am finishing a graduate diploma at a canadian university. However, the university states in the later that this course has an expected length of "Within one year (3 semesters)" However, I am planning to finish my degree in two semesters only ( from September to April ).

1) will I get one year as per the university or not ?

2) does the word "within" make a difference for IRCC ?

3) is September to April 8 months or 7 months ? like how do they count the number of months.

If you finish it early, you may find the work permit is limited to the number of months you studied.
