Hello Everyone,
Today my parents received their passport request letter for stamping but my parents are travelling to Canada from India on Aug 24th so if I send my passport for stamping they are taking around 1 month to stamp and send it back (as per other applicants).

What do you recommend I should do? Travel is already planned and booked so it is not possible to change as they have to attend a few family events here in Canada.
TIA

Send a webform toIRCC explaining that your parents are travelling at the end of August and there isn’t enough time for passport stamping in India and that you’d like them to land after they arrive in Canada. It should be fine but will take many months. The on,y big issue is that they must arrive with belongings as a visitor not as someone moving to Canada. Make sure you take out travel medical insurance for them to cover the delay until they receive PR.

Thank you. Do you think I should submit the webform after they arrive in Canada or should I just submit it now? Have you faced a similar issue as well?
When you say they must arrive with belongings as a visitor so what does that mean? They already have a visitor visa and were planning to travel on a visitor visa. Any idea how many months it will take?

You should send the webform now with the details of when they will travel. It will take a while before your webform is addressed so if you wait until they arrive in Canada it just adds to the waiting period. It’s really up to you it isn’t a significant difference if you just received the request. They are entering Canada as a visitor so if they show up with all their banking information for the past 10 years for example that would look very suspicious for someone just visiting Canada. If you explain to CBSA that you are awaiting landing it could be overlooked but wouldn’t suggest they appear that they are traveling with all the contents of their home. Would plan on 1-3 months until they can likely get a virtual landing.

Definitely make sense. So apart from web form, there is no other way it seems?
Really appreciate your reply and help. Thank you
