PGP landing,HOW MUCH MONEY SHOULD BE PROOF OF FUNDS.

hi,
My parents are landing in three days , Need some advice on how much money or proof of funds should be shown or declared while landing.
when they received there pp back from visa office they received a letter that says all economic immigrants should bring $10000 plus depending on there family size but since the parents are not economic immigrants so would like some advice how much should Parents show while landing in canada ?

What are the general questions they ask while landing ?
