Hi there,

I'm sending in a sponsorship application for my wife. I have been saving the E-mails since I knew we would need them for proof of our relationship. My only question is, the majority of them are somewhat personal, which I'm sure you know what I mean by that. I have absolutely no qualm about sending them in, but I am worried that immigration may deem them as inappropriate. They aren't XXX or anything, but the sort of thing you'd expect from a married couple seperated by a gigantic ocean.

Thank You

Personally, I think it's a good idea to send in a few of those, and hopefully you have some more, uh, G-rated emails you can send along too? No need to print ALL of your emails, just take a screen cap of your inbox along with a selection of emails.

Consider printing a screen shot of your inbox/outbox sorted by sender to show the timespan of your communications. Then maybe chose some emails the content of which is evidence of your "genuine" relationship for the IO. You can print some that are more personal and then mark through the parts you would rather not share.
Hope this helps. Allison

You can also use a black marker to cross out anything too personal in your email. That's what I did on the advice of someone at the CIC call centre.

Send them in. The visa officer who interviewed my husband complained because our emails weren't personal enough.
Yours are not XXX, so they're OK. Just black out anything you really don't want them to see.

We're planning to send my brother's facebook emails, chats and telephone records to show that they communicate EVERYDAY....

what to do if all emails chats are in different language other than english and french??

You need to get them translated, just like any other document. You can print a screenshot of your inbox to show all the emails, then choose a selection and get them translated.

i have atleast 5 million chats emails. u want me to hire translator on 2 year contract to translate all for me?

When you have a huge number of emails or chats, the best thing is to print the inbox (yours and your partner's) showing all the emails you have sent each other. This shows the span of time you have been communicating and how often. Then I would choose a selection of emails/chats to send. You could pick one a week from the length of your relationship, or just some that you feel show your relationship is genuine. Get these translated.

We printed screen shots of the thousands and thousands of e-mails and then printed out a sample of one per month that were on the tamer more boring side. Did not want to embarrass ourselves, lol.

somtimes we fight. we say each other bad words in email. if IO officer reads it will he judge our lreationship?

Send ones where you arent fighting. If you have 5 million chats then at least a handful of them must be loving.

no relationship lives wihtout a fight

and no fight can live without love

so good equals bad and bad equals to good

does it makes sense?
