So, my CEC profile is up and I'm eligible, but no invite yet. 434 points. However, my permit runs out on June 16th, if I am not invited to apply can I get a bridging work permit in the mean time or do I need to go back home till I hear back about an ITA?

Thanks

You cannot apply for a BOWP unless you have submitted a complete PR application and have received an Acknowledgement of Receipt. You could try applying for a visitor visa\another work permit if your intent is to stay in Canada.

Go back and wait for an ITA, unless any of the below happen:

1. You get an ITA before your permit expires (increase your scores or scores come down) and apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit after you submit your PR application and continue working on "implied status" until you hear back;
2. You get a positive LMIA and work permit:
3. You extend your stay as a visitor or a student;
4. You get a PNP invite and get the nomination before that (highly unlikely).

Good luck! :)

Considering your score I would say go get your documents and once you receive the ITA you can apply for a bridging visa just after the submission of your PR application.
