Merry Christmas All:

I have received the invitation letter which will be Jan 13

I have noticed there is a form call "permission release and consent", what should I do if I agree to this and be able to attend the ceremony on time?

Should I sign it and send it back to CIC?

First of all Congratulations!! You need to sign those consent letter and give it to CIC before the oath Ceremony. They will take those paper and you have to sign another form in-front of them.

That means I should bring it with me to the ceremony, and sign on-the-date, right?

You do not have to sign it in front of the CIC-officer. However, it has to be signed and the officer will collect it before you enter the room and take the oath.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
