Hello, my boyfriend's parents are from venezuela and have applied for humanitarian assistance through the Colombia, Venezuela, and Haiti program. They have received the Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) and completed their medical exams. However, the government has requested a new police certificate from Suriname, as they lived there for more than 6 months. Unfortunately, obtaining this police certificate from the Surinamese embassy can take up to 2 months. The deadline to submit the police report to Canada is 30 days from receiving the request letter. We urgently need guidance on what steps to take or whom to contact for assistance. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
