Can somebody help me, can I quit my job now? I am currently working at DQ for a year now, I signed a 2 year contract before I started the job. I am now a Permanent Resident holder.
You should certainly be able to quit. However since you say you signed a 2 year contract, you should check to see what the terms of that contract were before you actually quit. Since this is a fast food restaurant, there shouldn't be any issues quitting. Can somebody help me, can I quit my job now? What does your contract say regarding resignations?I tried to submit my resignation but my employer threaten me to report to the Immigration and hes saying that I cannot quit my job.
I can't see how you quitting is going to create problems for your PR status. This sounds like empty threats from your employer. There's nothing specified in my contract im regards to resignation..It stated on the duration of Contract that: This contract shall have duration of Permanent Full Time for an indeterminate period.
Did you get points for this position with a LMIA and the employer stated you would have a job one year past PR?There's nothing specified in my contract im regards to resignation..It stated on the duration of Contract that: This contract shall have duration of Permanent Full Time for an indeterminate period.

If you are PR, and have been there a year past getting PR then you can quit. But best to ask an immigration lawyer as you received nomination based on the job offer.I think so because i remember before i got choosen for PNP my points was just right ..
