So I'm wondering if we're almost at the end of this process as we haven't recieved any mail regarding the situation. Basically I(husband) sent of our spousal sponsorship package in januar 2015 and was approved for sponsorship march 2015. Recieved a letter from CIC asking for more passport photo's so we sent that in June 2015. My wife who is american received an email this past week from the permanent residency unit requesting 2 more passport photo's. She is currently visiting me and has changed her mailing address to my home address, it's just odd that she recieved that by email and haven't received anything else in the mail such as our application being a success because it would be odd for the permanent residency unit to ask for photo's if they were just going to deny her

i'm wondering if anyone else has been in this situation before because i'll be glad to know that it'll be over soon

The easiest way to tell is to check the application status online.

It's not odd at all. CIC will not generally request stuff after you are approved, as they need everything to approve the file in the first place, and a photo request is fairly common. Also, CIC rarely sends anything by mail. The only thing to expect in the mail is the COPR. You most likely won't get any form of approval before that.

Requesting more photos means you are near the end.
