Hi there,

So my situation is I am a sponsored spouse. My partner received her PR card already after having a photo request. They didn't request photos for me, so I never sent them.

She has since received her PR card.

I have raised two case specific enquiries and both times they've sent the same reply worded as follows:

"If you applied for a Permanent Resident card (PR card), or if you are waiting to receive your initial PR card, and the Case Processing Centre requires that you provide new photos, we invite you to:

  • Send two photos according to the photo specifications, and
  • Include:
    • if available, the letter/email received to that effect, or
    • an explanation letter (including your complete name, date of birth and UCI)."
Now, this doesn't read like a request, however I'm wondering if I should act upon it as a request?

Thanks,

kinetc

Meh. Probably just lazy agents using a template to clear the ticket quickly. Try calling them instead to talk to an agent actively ask and check your account if it is a photo issue or something else.

That's kind of how I feel, however since my partner received a request and our pics were taken at the same time/place and submitted together I do wonder why hers were re-requested and mine were not.

Anyway, I'll guess I'll get on the phone and play the "waste 4.5 minutes to get to the option to speak to an agent" lottery.
