Hello guys I applied for PR as a Conventional Refugee I got a letter that I have to go to United State Embassy with a copy of my fingerprints to be sent to each state had stayed in United State before seeking a refugee claimant. Can someone tell me if this is the right way IRCC do to others Conventional Refugee obtaining a PR status in Canada? Reason is US is part of the country I had a threat as well. I means I did a fingerprints through CBSA on crossing border to Canada, which should last 10 years. I am aware of Clearance from Canadian police but getting another fingerprint from US that will involve US embassy is kind of strange to me.

As far as I'm aware, you don't need to get a PCC from your COP (i.e. country of persecution / home country) - however you are required to obtain them from all other countries. So yes, it would be normal to be asked to provide PCCs from the US. Suggest you post to the Asylum / Refugee section of the forum to confirm. You've posted your question in the wrong part of the forum.
