I am planning to apply for permanent residence. My profile is as below
Age - 22
Education - Mechatronics undergrad from India
Current status - Student visa (Valid until 12/2021) Currently I am studying and I will finish my studies in 08/2021
I got married on 8th March 2020 and my wife is Canadian citizen. I was living in Ontario as my college is there. I came here in March to get married. Afterwards due to covid I stayed here as classes moved to remote format. It’s been 8 months and we finally get settled. Currently it’s my scheduled break and my new term will start from January which is hybrid (Combination of in person and online classes). My wife is going to school till February 2021 and I can’t move back to Ontario by myself as we are not financially capable of paying tuition and living expenses of both of us separately. So I contacted the lawyer and he advised me to apply for permanent residency. I just want to know if what is procedure and document checklist. I would like to do process by my own as lawyer is asking for too much money. Additionally, I would also wants know about complications as none of has good credit history or great financial status. My wife is 27 years old and she has 7 years old son. She has Indian status in Canada.
