Permanent residence application - 2-months delay!

Hi there,

does anyone know why it's taking so long to get the permanent residence? They start to process my application on May 2011 and they received my medical exams on August 2012. The website says that my application is still in process review, but I was supposed to get the residence two months ago. The PR processing time for people from Italy takes usually 16 months so I'm wondering why is taking so long.

I believe it says on CIC that if its been over the processing time they put on their website and you have not received any reply that you should call CIC or the Visa office handling your PR application. Call them and hear what they have to say. Good luck

Thanks for your reply Pokie. Actually there is no number to call in these cases, just an email address that replies: "sorry but we can not process your request at this time". Very helpful tool!

wow...that's weird. I wonder why they would say that and now, no number to call.
