Hi guys,
I got arrested in Feb, 2019 for some sexual offences as young person and currently on bail. During bail, I went to school (Adult school and Summer school) to get everything done to earn my high school diploma which I'm recently done, and I am trying to get a LOA for my program in order to attend to my college this September.
However, the problem is I do not know how to explain to IRCC about the arrest and I am afraid that my study permit would be refused.
My lawyer told me that the case will be likely over in September or October. The charges are under YCJA.
I'm in need the answer for this........
Thanks everyone.

I don't believe it's possible to get a study permit approved with charges pending.

Do you know what I should do for this situation tution because I need to wait at least next month to plead guilty in court?
You need to be working with a good immigration lawyer.

If you end up pleading guilty, then I'm not sure that getting a study permit will be possible either - you may need to leave Canada at that point.

I'll get convicted in youth court. Does it make me inadmissible?

I don't think it makes you inadmissible - but I'm guessing this will harm your chances of getting a study permit. Again, you should really be working with an immigration lawyer.

Thank you for answering my question. Hopefully, this will work out well then.

I wouldn't make that assumption. I would do everything I can to get the charges reduced or dropped.

You should be working this out with an immigration laywer/consultant and your criminal laywer instead of asking random internet strangers for legal advice.

It has been reduced since the lawyer said I can get no jail time, possibly probation.
That's a reduction in the sentence. You want to get the actual charges reduced or dropped.

I've been charged for both youth and adult charges. My lawyer worked it out by convincing the judge to get me plead gulity to those youth charges which means I'll get a youth record. Youth record doesn't make me inadmissible.
