I work for lowes as a head cashier for the past one year and i have worked more than 60 hours on my biweekly paychecks. However at lowes part time or peak time position get 30 or more hours per week . Can somebody please tell me if i am eligible for express entry since my NOC 6211 is qualified under express entry. I have already got WES and IELTS . My score is 461 if i get the 40 points for Canadian work ex. Please share your opinion. I currently work at the same position and have more than 1560 hours

Are you sure that's your NOC? Cashiers are 6611 and under skill level D

Edit: Just saw the description regarding head cashiers. Hopefully someone else with a retail job can advise. I was never too sure about these types of jobs since 6211 was pulled off the list in 2013.

If you work more than 30 hours in a week it still only counts as one week of work.

Have you worked 30 hours or more for at least 52 weeks (12 months)?

Regardless of how Lowe's classifies your position, CIC considers "full time" to be 30 or more hours per week. Part-time is defined as less than 30 hours per week.

You have to have a minimum of 52 weeks of full-time work, or the equivalent in part-time work (By definition, this takes longer than one year to achieve).

If you are uncertain how to count your hours because you don't have records and are paid bi-weekly, I would suggest first talking with your supervisor (or whomever will write your Letter of Employment) to see how they will describe your hours in the letter. For example, if they say something like "60 or more hours every two weeks" or "an average of 35 hours per week" then it will probably be OK.

What scylla means is, if you look at all your paystubs, for each and every week (all 52 of those weeks) that you worked, is it 30 or more hours? Or do you have any weeks that are less than 30 hours? (Allowance for 2 weeks of vacation is OK).

I recently got all my paychecks and they all have 60 hrs or more biweekly work hours. Only one paycheck has 38 hrs since i got promoted during that time and my pay changed but i am still working si i have already covered those hours

If that is what HR wrote, you will have to submit the proof up front - don't wait for CIC to ask for it. (Or, if you have worked at least 65 weeks, that would be the FTE of 1 year @ 24 hours per week).
