I need to translate the PCC (from Germany). I'm wondering for the translation, if everything can be done over email (send the scanned original to the certified translator over email, and they send me back the certified translation over email) or do I need to get the paper copy by mail for some reason? I don't live in Canada now and translation needs to be done by a certified translator in Canada, so I'm concerned about the timeline if I needs to send/receive by paper mail... thanks!

You don't need to send it to Canada. You can get it translated in any part of the world.

It's not complicated. I personally got them translated and notarized which is much cheaper and easier than sending them to Canada and had no issues with that.

Hi,
There is no rule that the certified translator must be in Canada. You can have it translated in your homeland also, by a certified translator. Just search it, there will be such translators in your country, too.

But, be sure to have all the documents in 'Physical' form. I mean e-mail copies will not be valid.
Also, when you submit your application, make sure to include BOTH the original PCC + Certified translated version of it.
Submitting only one of them will not suffice.

Hi,
How long was the process to get your PCC from Germany?
I applied for that, sent the application 2 weeks ago, but it is still somewhere between Canada and Germany. I am worried about processing time.

I haven't received it yet. I called their number and they said the standard time is two weeks after they receive it, if there are no problems with the application. but when you receive it would also depend on how long it takes for the mail to get from Germany to wherever you are...

Hi Everyone, can I make a scanned copy of my original PCC in colour and send it to a certified translator here in Canada via email for translation? As my PCC is in my home country and will take sometime to reach.

what did you end up doing??
