Hey everyone,

I am November applicant (BC PNP Inland) and submitted my application. Recently i read that applicants living outside India can get PCC through Indian embassy only or they can get PCC from indian local police station? every day i hear new things.. Can anyone please help me out

If you are staying outside of India, then you need to obtain it from the Indian Embassy based in your current country.
Only those who are residing in India need to obtain it from PSK in India.

I hope this clarifies your doubt.

They can reject my application on the basis of my PCC which was issued by local police station from my home state?

I don't know how to relate this . Pretty much everybody gave the same pcc as u did . Reason being cic website doesn't ask for pcc from psk . It's only for people who are from Delhi. Based on the recent rejections made by cic , I would imagine everyone who submitted pcc from the local police station are in jeopardy..

Not really, unless the police station mentioned an address in the PCC and as per your personal history entries you have lived in more places than that since you were 18 yrs of age.

Yes, if as per your personal history, you have lived in more places than the local police station that issued the PCC represents, otherwise no.

If you are living outside your country of your origin, it is best advised to get a PCC issued from your local embassy in the country of your residence post the date that you last went to your country of your origin.

Yes, it is very much advisable, especially if you have lived in more addresses while in India than the police station that issued the PCC represents.

If not and if your PCC does not mention any effective start date (time bound) which is later than your 18th birthday, then ideally there should be no issues.

I moved to different house when i was 15 years old and till then i was living in same house. My PCC does not mention any start date or something.
