Payment for RPRF- How do they know I've paid?

I have sponsored my husband with an inland application. At the time, I didn't pay for the PR portion. He just received his letter for AIP and just completed his Medical by a panel doctor. We haven't recieved a letter on 'how to pay' for the RPRF yet, however, I want to pay it. I figured it out online, but how do I notify IRCC that it has been paid? It doesn't ask for a file number or anything. Am i supposed to email it to the immigration officer? I want to pay so there are no more delays, but want to make sure I know where to send it

I think you'd be better off just waiting until they ask you for it. It will have instructions on how to provide them with proof of payment.
