Paying taxes in Canada when retiree

I've been retired for 5 years (USA) and do not have to pay taxes on it. I have no other income.

Do I need to file taxes in Canada for that (I'm a PR now)?

My Social Security check still goes to my US bank, then I transfer it to my PayPal, then transfer it to my bank here.

My husband will be filing, adding me as his spouse. Will he need to report my SS pay?
