You can apply for PR travel document once you arrive US which will enable you from entering Canada again without having the PR card in hand. But check the processing time for this before hands.

You can enter Canada from USA just by CoPR only. The Canadian border officers will not prevent you. No PR card is needed.

The tricky thing is that there is a waterprint on the CoPR paper saying "not for travel", so the flight company will not regard CoPR as a visa to enter Canada. You may return to Canada by private car, or you may find a way to convince flight company that you can be admitted to Canada (study permit or work permit is enough).

One more question-

Can I give the address of my work place while landing for PR card delivery? Coz I will most likely be found at my workplace during regular business hours. We receive a lot of mail from Canada Post so I don't think they would have any problems delivering PR card to my workplace address. Or does it needs to be my home address? I am renting and sometimes I do lose mail if its not delivered directly to me. All of my mails usually come to me on my workplace address. Any insight would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Tracking number activated on Friday. Totall wait time since sending the passport: 3 weeks.

I am currently in the US. I got an email from CIC to my personal email. I sent the passports and photos and they were received on 12th Sept. The return label has not been activated yet, but the application status in myCIC was updated to Approved last week (Sept 19).
I called this number: +1 613 944 4000. It was a good experience, the person on the other end told me that my passports are already in printing for visas but she was not sure about the date by which they would be shipping them back.

Try calling this number, it will help with information on where your passports are currently. Keep your application number handy.

I had a separate thread for this, where I got a response that it usually takes about 3 weeks. So, I believe you might receive it in this week or next. I am also in the same state with exactly the same dates.
