Does anybody know if visa stamping and COPR take longer for families?

PPs delivered to Ottawa on Nov 19.

Still waiting...

I don't think so...our PPs was delivered in 18 NOV and still nothing...

I think exactly two weeks. Mine received at Ottawa on 16th. RETURN tracker activated on Friday. Saturday arrived in Edmonton and Sunday under process in Edmonton.Still no tracking today. Most probably it will be out for delivery around 12.30pm Edmonton time. I should get it delivered today around 3.45pm. All the best. Two weeks. CIC clearing bulk of passports on Friday. That time only return tracker gets activated. Two working days delivery time for Xpress Post

it takes up to 3 weeks in some cases i have seen.
If you send it in Nov 18 wait till Dec 2nd, this makes it 2 weeks.

I got mine in 2 weeks and 2 days exactly... you will get yours soon

wonder who is the latest guy who sent passports
I got my PPR on 23th photo instructions were different, than it is now
when I went to take photos I have been told that specs has been changed, now they are asking photos with same specs as Canadian passport specs are
can anyone check that with the link in their PPR please?

While we are waiting for the passport Can any of you help me with this.
i am currently in implied status and my visa has expired - am i allowed to do flag pole landing after receiving the passport. Heard ppl saying we will lose implied status after we cross the border. I am currently working right now and i dont want to lose the implied status.

Is the only solution for this is to do landing procedure on inland CIC offices?

Hey buddy whi are you concerned about that?
when you get your passports and do the flagpole you are becoming PERMANENT RESIDENT OF CANADA
and after that you don't need any work permit, and no need for implied status
you are free to work anywhere

You are right. The turnover is around tow weeks. For my case, the PPs are received at Ottawa on 13th and it is approved and closed at MyCIC on Nov 20. The return tracker is activated on Nov 27 and it is delivered at 1pm PST today. It seems CIC batch processes the tasks on Friday.

You are right. The turnover is around tow weeks. For my case, the PPs are received at Ottawa on 13th and it is approved and closed at MyCIC on Nov 20. The return tracker is activated on Nov 27 and it is delivered at 1pm PST today. It seems CIC batch processes the tasks on Friday.

I hope it is two weeks, which will be this Wednesday Dec 02 in my case. But I am concerned that myCIC is not updated yet, many people here have been approved on mycic already.

If you don't get it on this Wednesday that is two weeks, You should get it cleared on This Friday. To have it on Wednesday you should have your return tracker activated today around 5.45 Ottawa time.

Hey guys,

Yesterday I crossed the border and I am officially a PR. Today I wanted to renew my health card and discovered that the CBSA agent forgot to answer some questions in the 1st section (Confirmation of PR document) and more specifically he didn’t say when and where I became a PR - although he signed my paper at the bottom and dated it and also stamped my passport, the people at city hall didn’t want to renew my card.

So because of that I was not able to renew my card and have to submit a request to immigration canada so they can amend my document and fill up the missing information. So yeah after my passport was lost, I got this other thing happening to me. So guys, when crossing the border, make sure everything that needs to be completed by the CBSA agent is completed before leaving the border or you may have unnecessary administrative procedure to do… and I am not sure how long it will take for them to amend my document …

I hope my input is helpful and will avoid you guys wasting some precious time.

Looking forward to a smooth Landing/Flag poling at Coutts border crossing Alberta this weekend. Anyone who had done the flag poling at Coutts please walk me through the complete process there. Also please let me know what all the documents we should carry.

21st Nov. CIC Approved & closed.
27th Nov. return tracker activated.
30th Nov. COPR and Passports received.
