PASSPORTS TO CPC-OTTAWA in May 2016

By saying last Tuesday, I meant to say May 10 but I guess it's better if they stamp on Tuesday as I don't want passport to stay with CP during weekend (this time long weekend)

Congratulations. And that was quick. I received PPR the same day and my passport was delivered in Ottawa May 13th. Hopefully I will have mine soon. Did your MyCIC get updated?

I'm actually not sure about my CIC account because I have a consultant so I never check my CIC. But I will ask him

My passport was delivered on 11th May. Please inform if you do talk to CIC .. I will be calling them today too!

Just got an email from CPC Ottawa and they mentioned that our PP's dispatched today through Canada Post, Tracker not activated yet though. This is in response to the email i sent yesterday, I am surprised they responded pretty quick. If you cant get hold of them through phone, Email them. You might get lucky.

Today after 2 weeks I got an email from cic,,( as I had asked them regarding my passport received there,, they said they have received it)..
In my cic account,, application says APPROVED,,

ANY IDEA WHEN CAN I GET MY PASSPORT BACK???

Its funny,, how cic call centre agents can inform some applicants.. Hehe...
I called,,they simply told me to check Canada post

It totally depends on the call centre agent you end up with. Some are nice enough go out of the way from the actual protocol to check for you, some just strictly follow orders. I'd say give them a call again if you got lucky you may end up talking to a nice agent.

I disagree with protocol being a factor here. I don't think there would be a protocol preventing applicants to seek information on the progress of the application. I agree, it depends on person to person, some are nice enough to acknowledge your interest in the status of your application and provide the requested information. However, some might be in a bad mood, thinking applicants shouldn't waste their time as the application is being processed within the normal timeframe. And, they can't speed up the processing anyway. As you, keep calling until you get your answers or passport back.

PS: it also depends on the caller as well, how nicely the caller can convince the agent to look for and give the information. I have a friend who was almost always (except one time, he called again and got it) successful in getting his answers from agent.
