Passports to CPC Ottawa - Aug 2016

Hi guys. This is for ppl who have already received their passports. Does your application say "approved and closed" and then you received your passport back or MyCiC can remain "In Progress" or not started?

May I know what are the documents to be taken for the landing?

Do i need to take 2 photo graphs while landing ?

The application status turns to approved and closed, and a day or two after, CIC mails the PP back.

How do you know if tracker is activated?

by checking the status from the return tracking number

When did your application get approved? I mean the email regarding mycic account being updated. I have not received any update on my application since my passport was delivered on the 10th.

Wife's and My passports reached Ottawa on August 10th. No updates since then.

I called CIC this morning. They confirmed by receipt of my Passport at 365 Laurier Ave West and could NOT confirm receipt of my passport (I sent my passport to the PO Box Address).


Anything I should be concerned about? I see many applicants status as Approved and Closed.

Review of eligibility Passed
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents We need an additional document from the applicant
Scheduling an interview Help
A background check is needed Complete
Final decision This application has been approved

Hope they can mail my passport today...

Hope they can mail my passport today...

They do send an email. It's the same lag in their system as in the case of background check not needed and in progress etc. the account is updated and then due to the lag you get a "ghost email' the next day. they'll not mail the passport back to you the same day they approve your application.

Hi all,
Sent my passport on Aug 17 by priority mail.
Should've been delivered in one day, but the tracker shows "item available for pick-up".
Anyone encountered this?
